Concrete Bed is a serie of portraits of rough sleepers, created to support Cardboard World, a project by the artist Vincenzo Raccuglia that explores the realities of homelessness. It asks a simple but pressing question: why haven’t we found better ways to support those living on the streets?
Exhibited at the National Waterfront Museum in Swansea and at the Welsh Parliament Senedd in Cardiff, the work aims to bring visibility to those too often overlooked, and to spark conversations around how design and society respond to homelessness.
The project was developed with the support of charity organizations such as The Wallich, Exousia Trust, YMCA, and The Big Issue Cymru.
